Gutter specialists — Salem, Oregon

Clogged Gutters Cause Expensive Problems. We Stop Them Early.

When a gutter fills, water goes over the front edge instead of into the downspout — and lands against your siding, your windows and your foundation. In a valley that sees rain 150 days a year, that adds up fast. Cherry City Gutter Co. cleans, guards, repairs and replaces gutters so the water goes where it is supposed to.

Why Cherry City Gutter

The Difference Is in the Details You Cannot See

We Clean By Hand

Buckets and hands, not a leaf blower. The compacted sludge at the bottom of the trough is the part that rots seams — and the part blowers leave behind.

Materials Built for Rain

Stainless micro-mesh, hidden hangers screwed into solid fascia, gutter-grade sealant. Nothing chosen because it was cheap this week.

The Price We Quoted

You get a written number before we start. If we find something extra, we call you — we do not add it to the invoice and hope you miss it.

We Say No to Work

If your gutters do not need replacing, we will tell you so and quote the repair instead. It costs us a sale and earns us the next five.

What Salem Homeowners Say

0 +
Homes served in the Valley

“They cleaned out gutters that had not been touched in four years and showed me photos of every side of the house before and after. No upsell, no drama, and the price was exactly what they quoted on the phone.”

Marissa H. Salem, OR

“We had water coming over the front gutter every time it rained hard. Turned out the run had lost its pitch. They re-hung it in an afternoon and it has been dry ever since.”

Dan P. Keizer, OR

“Guards were installed on the whole house in one day. Two winters later I have not been on a ladder once, and the firs behind us drop needles constantly.”

Tom R. Stayton, OR

“Another company quoted me for complete replacement. These guys came out, showed me the gutters were fine, and fitted guards instead for a third of the price. That kind of honesty is rare.”

Angela C. Turner, OR

Common Gutter Questions

The questions we get asked most often on the phone, with the answers we would give you there.

Ask Us Anything

Gutter Cleaning

Twice a year covers most homes here — once in late spring after the maple seeds and blossom drop, and once in late autumn after the leaves are down. Properties under mature Douglas fir usually need three or four visits because needles fall year-round rather than in one season.

No. As long as we have gate access and can reach every elevation, you do not need to be there. We send before-and-after photos and an invoice by email once the work is finished.

It is bagged and hauled away. We do not blow it onto your lawn, into your flower beds or over the fence. Ground-level debris that came out of the gutters gets raked up before we leave.

We work from ladders wherever it is possible, and use standoff stabilisers so the ladder never rests on the gutter itself. When roof access is unavoidable we stay on the lower courses and off brittle or mossy sections.

Gutter Guards

For most homes with tree cover, yes. Quality micro-mesh cuts cleaning from two or three visits a year down to roughly one inspection, and it prevents the standing debris that rots seams and rusts hangers. The payback is usually four to six years on cleaning costs alone, before you count the damage it prevents.

No, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. Fine grit and pollen still collect on the mesh surface, so plan on one visit a year to rinse the guards and flush the downspouts. What guards eliminate is the packed trough.

Almost always. If the trough is structurally sound and pitched correctly, guards fit straight onto it. We correct hangers and pitch first as part of the installation, and we will tell you honestly if a run is too far gone to be worth covering.

Not the way we install them. Panels are fastened to the front lip of the gutter and set under the first shingle course by hand — nothing is nailed or screwed through your roofing, and shingles are not lifted or bent back.

Still not sure what your gutters need?
